When did you start your journey?

After experiencing a massive company wide layoff years ago from a Financial Institution, I decided to be in control of my own business and my destiny. I remember clearly people concerned about paying their bills and how it would effect themselves and their family members. I’ve always had something on the side (direct sales AKA side hustle) and love providing excellent services and having an educational platform for training. My degree is in Business Management, and I realize the advantages of owning a business. One advantage is understanding the tax benefits business owners can legally use in our favor. Putting myself in position to helping myself and helping others. It’s like getting on an airplane preparing  for takeoff. Secure your mask FIRST, before helping others!

Did you get any time to reflect on how far you came?

Getting started can be the most challenging action. Once commencing, hanging in there, and enduring the challenges that comes with entrepreneurship. This continues to allows me to reflect on life with an attitude of gratitude; that I’m working ON my business and constantly learning, earning, implementing, growing and SCALING. I am  Extremely grateful and brave for taking the necessary steps to move forward day after day. When an individual has dreams and goals before them,  it keeps us on track. Allowing space to reflect…

What’s the hardest part of your job?

I believe the hardest part is when you personally have a vision or mission for what you do, others may not see it immediately. You have to push past nay sayers and be confident in what you’re called to do.  I am confident in who I am and what I do. I’ve worked in Finance and Management for over 15 years. The experience and skill set cannot be taken away from me. Letting go of the past, embracing the Present and finding the right collaboration is vital in business. Hire HELP ASAP!!!

Do you have anything new to tell the upcoming professionals who do what you do?

I suggest Being proactive in pivoting to make things work in your best interest. Add to what’s working and maintain integrity. Do Not take anyone for granted. P & L doesn’t just stand for Profit & Loss, it also Stands for People & Love! Keep in mind the Financial Industry is approximately $109 trillion in global funds, making it the worlds biggest industry. Maintain your license and helping others. Win Big, keep your head up!

What’s does collaborating mean to you and how does it relate to you and your brand today?

To me collaboration is doing what you do best and working together with 2 more people, organizations, entities or leaders to create greater opportunities from one other’s strengths.

Why did you get into your niche?

When it comes to The insurance industry, one has to pass a three+ hour long testing and afterwards remain in compliance. Not everyone passes the tests. Because I was able to pass the test and being able to help people with their finances. As a child, people would give me money constantly. It was destined for me to work in the Finance Industry. I love working with women and families!
